If you have been reading
my president's, message, you have realized I'm remiss in
keeping up to date! My promise to you the members and
prospective members is that I will not put a time limit
on the message, but add to the message as things happen,
blockbuster or not.
At this point we have applied for a $60,000 match grant
and expect to hear something by April. SOSCL also has
received an obsolete lens from the Coast Guard to use
for the rear light. It's getting to look more like a
working range light now. If I know our keeper, he will
be out there breaking ice to get it mounted!
We are working on ideas to have people on board the
light island satisfying the good people at SHPO
maintaining accessibility under limited conditions.
