PRESIDENTS MESSAGE FOR SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2010

Fall is fast approaching, but there are many shows and activities for SOSCL. The new owners at the Metro Beach Boat Show have again given us a 10x10 booth in the entrance tent and we thank them. The new layout looks to be very exciting.
Our pontoon boat is essentially finished outside of a few small details. If we can get another coat of paint on the fence at the rear light this fall the toon will be really handy.
The Algonac Art Fair turned out very well even though the wind was a bit heavy on Saturday,

Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day and our sales went well. Our anonymous donor was taken out to the lights recently and he was impressed with our progress. The weather was perfect and Dave Bollinger and I gave him the royal tour. Mr. Anonymous was never in this area around the Old Club and Muscamoot Bay before and said he would like to do the tour again next year. Hopefully we can obtain a match grant by that time and construction can begin on the front light.
We still don't have a pontoon boat trailer and hope someone can help us with a donation.
Enjoy the fall weather.
