PRESIDENTS MESSAGE FOR MID WINTER

We are in the planning stage for the coming summer season. Still trying to get a match grant and I have a couple of irons in the fire, keep your fingers crossed. We were unable to get the "Out House" built last year and maybe is was for the best. We now have a pontoon boat to haul heavy stuff and volunteers without using our officers and members private boats. Another challenge will be donated dockage as near to the lights as possible, which would probably be Harsens Island. I'm working on some good possibilities.
Rob Schoenmann and Kevin Stackpoole have plans to cover the boat and in the meantime get some donated work done like removing and reupholstering the bench seats and other work that hopefully can be donated! More news on this later.

There will be a directors meeting scheduled soon as the last date was concealed because of some of our officers were unable to get off Harsens Island when the ferry was unable to get through the ice jams and the Coast Guard Cutters coming through to free up the ice flows.

Dues renewal will be coming up soon. Look in your Range Lights newsletter when you receive it by April 1. Hopefully you can get a jump on our publication by stopping by the Lake St. Clair Net booth at the Detroit Boat Show. We hope to have them printed by that date, The show starts February 13. Check with Rob Schoenmann for free tickets to the Boat Show, they are normally $12 each. (586.206.6580)
I hope your holidays were happy and we look forward to boating season!
